Professional Bodies give guidelines - overview
- There isn't currently an association bringing all bodies together. The closest is The CPD Institute and CIPD (in our opinion)
- Some events qualify for CPD hours / points from more than one professional body eg CIPD and CMI
- CPD is getting increasingly important - fast
Attend Events or Do it Online?
- Our view is there is no "right" or "wrong" way although a balance is sensible
- Your preferred learning style needs considering. Do you like to learn by doing things, reading, watching or talking with people? Consider how each of the CDP routes delivers information to you
- The price of quality. One hour with a star speaker may be worth an investment
